Well, maybe a part time job, now and then!
Well he may get a menial part time job now and then just to prove to his wife that is is actively looking for a job. And of course to prove to his wife that he really wants a job so she doesn't have to continue to support him for the rest of her life.But my prediction is that any job he gets he will either quit or be fired from, a few weeks after he gets the job. To be honest I don't think he wants a job.
His wife told me he refuses to get a job using the degree he got in college. I suspect that is just a lame excuse to keep him from getting a real job where he has to work. And after all, why work when he can get his wife to support him. And of course all that is why I think he doesn't want a job.
Some more predictions!
Only part time afternoon jobs
I predict that all the jobs he gets will be afternoon or early evening jobs.Why?
Because he has an active schedule of meetings and other fun things he does in the daytime, while his wife is busy working to support him. He doesn't want any stinking day job he gets to preventing from attending those important daytime activities.
No graveyard jobs - That's too much like real work!!!
I also predict he won't get any graveyard or real night time jobs. He certainly doesn't want to get a night job where he is required to work at 3 a.m., just to prove he wants to work. That would be too much like real work!!!!History
His last alleged full time job
His last alleged full time job was as a salesman selling stuff out of his home. He worked in his home and sold stuff over the phone.Of course if you asked me it didn't look like a REAL full time, job. Hell it didn't even look like a real part time job.
Not once when I was at his home was he actively calling folks on the phone trying to sell them stuff.
He said he didn't make much money at the job. He claims that was because the market for his type of sales sucked. And the market for those type of sales did suck!!!!
I suspect the main reason he didn't make much money was because he didn't do any active work trying to sell stuff, not because the market for his product sucked.
Did he quit or was he fired?
I am not sure if he quit that job, or if he was fired. I think he says he quit the job. But if you ask me it looked more like he was fired. Perhaps he was in the process of being "laid off", mainly because the sales market sucked, and because he only worked part time and didn't generate many sales. Not his fault. Well not his fault for the very poor market, but I suspect it was his fault because he didn't put any work into selling stuff.Sales job at a firm on the edge of bankruptcy
His first job after that was a sales job for a friend of his in the same industry. The guy was on the edge of going out of business because the sales market was so bad and of course when he finally did close down his business my friend lost his job.Again this job was not a real job where he had to go to work from 9 to 5. He continue to "allegedly" work out of home, just like he did at his last job.
Of course I don't think he made one red cent sell stuff at this job. So I suspect it was a job only in the sense that he could tell his wife that he was working.
Call center job
His next job was at a call center. He was fired from that job after a few weeks, for telling his boss that his boss didn't know what he was talking about.Or at least that is what I think happened.
Bottom line, you should never, never, never tell your boss that he is a idiot if you want to keep your job. That is even if it is true and your boss is an idiot!
On top of that you should never spend a few hours of your bosses time, coming up with reasons why your boss is dumb when your boss is paying you to work. And from what he said I suspect that is what he did.
Again I suspect he really didn't want to keep this job. Hell, I don't think he wants to keep ANY job.
Another Sales Job
His next job was again a part time sales job in the evening calling people.As I said before I think he likes these evening jobs, because they don't get in the way of his busy daytime schedule of activities.
This time he actually had a place he had to go to and work at.
He quit this job because he didn't make any money. No sales means no commissions. I don't blame him for quitting.
Well at least he worked a couple of months and could tell his wife, I was working my tail off trying to bring home my share of the money.
A driving job
This was also another one of those jobs that was in the afternoon and evening.As I said before I think he likes these evening jobs, because they don't get in the way of his busy daytime schedule of activities.
I think he was fired from this job because of his anger. But to give him credit I think he says he was framed by the other people involved. "They are lying, it wasn't my fault!" I guess we will never know the truth.
I don't think the job lasted any longer then 4 to 6 weeks. Maybe less.
Again I suspect it was really just a job where he could say "See honey I tried to get a job, but it just didn't work out".
A job in the food industry
This was also another one of those jobs that was in the evening.As I said before I think he likes these evening jobs, because they don't get in the way of his busy daytime schedule of activities.
I think this job lasted about a month and again he was laid off or fired. I think he said he was dismissed because he wasn't catching on fast enough.
Was that the real reason he was fired? Or did he quit because he doesn't like working? We will never know!
A construction job
Well I was surprised when he got a job working construction.Man that is hard work. I didn't think he would take a job which involved hard work.
And it's a day time job too. I didn't think he would ever take a day time job that cuts into his day time activities.
But it lasted about 3 weeks. He is ready to quit the job because it is too much work.
More predictions!!!
I bet that if you come back a year from now, or 5 years from now the guy still won't have a full time job which he keeps and works at more then a month or two.To be honest I think the guy would rather have his wife support him then actually work himself.
That is just my prediction. I suspect his wife hopes I am wrong. And for his wife's sake I hope I am wrong too. But I doubt it.
